Supported housing. Independent futures.

Community Work

A stronger community starts with care.

We believe in being part of the community around us, including helping people access essential supplies when they need them.

Community in action

Fresh food.
Shared support.

A generous food donation through Birmingham Central Mosque helped Aspect provide practical support for residents.

On 25 September 2026, we collected fresh fruit, vegetables and other food supplies to help residents facing the cost of everyday essentials.

Community connections can make a real difference alongside housing and personal support. Thank you to Birmingham Central Mosque and everyone involved in making these supplies available.

Upcoming initiative

Upcoming collaborations with local cafés and food outlets

We are working towards collaborations with local cafés and food outlets, such as Greggs, to support our residents. We hope to make this a weekly initiative and will share further details once arrangements have been confirmed.

Remembering the Pret A Manger food bank work.

Aspect's earlier Pret food bank activity is another part of our community story. This archive photograph shows packaged food from that work.

This photograph records earlier community work, rather than a current Pret collection service.

Practical help, everyday choice

Clothing, comfort and choice.

Aspect's free clothing rack gives residents the opportunity to choose clothing and footwear that suit their needs and personal style. Items are new or in good condition, with a range of styles and sizes.

Everyday clothes, warm layers and items suitable for appointments or interviews can help ease the pressure of day-to-day costs. Residents can speak with their support worker about accessing the rack.

We welcome donations of clean, good-quality adult clothing and footwear: coats and jackets, everyday clothing, workwear and shoes in good condition. Please wash items before donating and contact the team to agree arrangements.

Everyday essentials

Footwear support through Networkfour.

A resident received a pair of preloved shoes through Networkfour Charity, with help from Aspect Housing support worker Ruhela.

The footwear was arranged by Cheryl Stylianou at Networkfour. Thank you to everyone involved for helping with this practical everyday need.

Suitable footwear can help with comfort and day-to-day activities, including getting to appointments. Residents who need help with clothing or footwear can speak to their support worker about the options available.
