Vacancy 1: Support Worker
Description:
We are recruiting a Support Worker to join our existing teams on a full-time, permanent basis. The Support Worker will be held accountable for ensuring high standards of support files equally with the senior support workers and auditors. If any files upon external audit is deemed inadequate or fails, then each of the above mentioned will be held responsible. Please note that your own car is essential for this role.
The daily work of our Support Workers includes, but is not limited to:
· Participation in annual staff appraisals with the Senior Support Worker.
· Work in conjunction with the Senior Support Worker to ensure that a staff development plan is followed, and undergoing training and supervision by the Senior Support Worker as required.
· Work in any house within the Service and, if necessary, within other Aspect Services.
· Carry out individual risk assessments to ensure any risk is identified and referrals to third party support agencies are made if necessary.
· Assistance in sustaining all aspects of the tenancy, as well as regular welfare checks to ensure safety and well-being of tenants.
· Assisting our service users with any paperwork they will be required to complete, and ensuring that they are able to receive the appropriate aid they are eligible for. This will include helping our users with budgeting etc.
Vacancy 2: Maintenance Handyman
Description:
We are recruiting for an experienced General Maintenance/Handyman person to join our existing maintenance team on a full time, permanent basis. Please note that your own van or Car and own tools are essential for this role.
We are looking for a competent all-rounder with a range of skills. There are 150+ houses which require work on a day to day basis, so you must be self-sufficient and able to complete work quickly and to a high standard. We are looking for candidates that are confident and competent Handymen, and who have experience maintaining fire doors and equipment.
The skills we require include but are not limited to:
· Carpentry
· Fire door maintenance
· Electrics
· Plumbing
· Replacing Radiators
· Replacing Windows
· Plaster Boarding
· Skimming
· Gardening
· All General Building knowledge required as every day is a new challenge!
As stated, this role is a full-time, permanent position. Working hours are 9.00 am - 5:30 pm, 5 days a week to start.
